The Whistler Film Festival takes place from November 28 to December 2. The 5 day film festival is a collective gathering of more than 50 films screening at different locations throughout Whistler.
Over the 5 day event various discussions and intimate panels will be held to coincide with many of the screenings. Directors, actors, producers and many more will be on hand to discuss their projects and answer questions on the film making process.
The festival is wonderful chance to watch some great films or catch insightful discussions with industry insiders.
Day 5 Highlighted Film - The Sheepdogs Have At It
Day 5 of the Whistler Film Festival is highlighted by the screening of The Sheepdogs Have At It. This documentary follows the journey of Saskatoon based band The Sheepdogs who were voted onto the cover of the Rolling Stone becoming the first band without a major label to do so. Following the cover photo the band was signed to Atlantic Records and went into the studio to release their major album debut. The film follows the journey this small city band must endure and the expectations they are expected to meet when they sign with a major label. Will their debut album flop, or will the pressure get to these Canadian rockers? Watch the story from beginning to end in The Sheepdogs Have At It. The Film airs this Sunday, December 2 beginning at 8PM at the Whistler Conference Centre.
