Special Additional February Fire & Ice Shows - Feb 27, 2014
|Date:||Thursday, February 27, 2014|
|Where:||Skiers Plaza, Whistler Village|
Take in the legendary Fire & Ice show every Sunday during the winter season. Watch as Whistler Blackcomb's ski and snowboard school jump through hoops of fire, while performing gravity defying stunts. This series is free, and comes with fireworks, fire dancers, and music.
February has become a hopping month in Whistler. With two shows per week, Fire & Ice is the best in family entertainment. Free, fun and full of spectacular, gravity defying jumps through burning hoops, this event is perfect after a day on the slopes. Expect fire dances, fireworks, and lots of great music as well.
Thursday, February 27th is the final Thursday Fire and Ice Show. We hope you'll be able to make it out to enjoy this mid-week family fun event. In March, Fire & Ice shows return to Sundays only, and the start time changes to 7:30.
This is a family friendly event, but if you are bringing children along, perhaps arrive about 15 minutes early to get a good spot in the front. If you're lucky, the kids may be brought up to answer a trivia question or two to win a prize! Previous guests have suggested getting hot chocolate beforehand, or even grabbing dinner close by so that you are ready with enough time to spare and are not in a rush. If you have had dinner at the GLC, you can see the performance from there. Otherwise, a good place to stand is near the bus loop, Excalibur Gondola, or in front of Dublin Gate Pub.
The Fire & Ice take place every Sunday from December 15, 2013 - March 30, 2014. The show takes place at the base of Whistler Mountain (Skiers Plaza) and begins at 6:30PM.
Following the show, head over to the Garibaldi Lift Co. (GLC) for the notorious Afterburn Party where you can enjoy prize giveaways and party with live music from Whistler's legendary Hairfarmers. Adults only after 8pm.
