Earth Hour 2014 in Whistler - Mar 29, 2014
|Date:||Saturday, March 29, 2014|
|Time:||8:30 pm - 9:30 pm|
The Sea-to-Sky Corridor & Earth Hour 2014
Each year in the Sea-to-Sky corridor, the communities gather for a friendly competition. Each of us tries to best the other in reducing energy consumption...and quite often, Whistler wins. We're looking to do our very best this year as well, so on Saturday, March 28th from 8:30 to 9:30 pm, let's all do what we can to "use our power" and reduce consumption. Dim your lights, turn off screens, perhaps take a walk through the Village and notice things you normally wouldn't, simply because the lights are lower.
Earth Hour began in 2007 in Australia, but now, over 7000 cities in 192 countries on 7 continents participate. Each year, Whistler ranks in the top municipalities in British Columbia for energy reduction. Let's each do our part and use our power to effect positive change.
