Whistler Arts Council Film Series
Whistler Arts Council presents "North of the Sun", a film directed by Inge Wegge.
In the film, Inge Wegge (25) and Jorn Ranum (22) built a cabin out of cast-off materials and driftwood that had washed up on shore. They ate only cast-off food that stores would have otherwise thrown away, and spent 9 months in the cold, Norwegian winter in the isolated and uninhabited bay of a remote, arctic island by the coast of Northern-Norway, facing nothing but the vast Atlantic Ocean.
Why did they do this?
To surf. The men knew a secret: This area of the world has some of the best surfing on the planet.
