Yup, It's a Party!

The biggest annual gathering of winter sports, music, arts and culture in North America, the TELUS World Ski and Snowboard Festival asks you to take heed the festival motto: “Party in April. Sleep in May.” Yup... the Festival is certainly a celebration. But we think if you do want to sleep (a bit) you can quite comfortably at the Aava Whistler Hotel.

So here's a quick rundown of the 2012 WSSF. The Festival is all about Music, Arts & Sports!

Sports - Rippin' it up

Rippin' it up on the snow and in the air. Most of the sports happens during the day with the some of the world's best skiers and boarders showing off their stuff. A few events like the legendary Big Air competition happen at night in the Village. This year's Shred Show will feature Slopestyle, Big Hip, Boarderstyle and Mogul Duel. The Slopestyle and Big Hip are TTR World Snowboard Tour 5-star events.

Arts - Up Yer Ying Yang

Fashion, film, arts and creativity exchange galore! From Fashion Exposed and Olympus Photographer Challenges to the Mountain Culture Variety Show and film screens the arts are very alive at WSSF.

Music - Concerts, Parties & Nightlife

One of the highlights of the Festival is the FREE Concert Series happening from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. daily at the base of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains.

Live DJ acts spin tunes daily. And the parties and nightlife continues into the wee hours of the night ... or morning.
