About Whistler Skydiving
If this seems like something you would like to try than Whistler Skydiving is your one stop shop for it all.
Originally formed by brothers Steve and Mike Smith who fell in love with the sport while travelling in Switzerland. After returning to their hometown of Vancouver they set up shop in Whistler providing Whistler's first skydiving service. Though the business is based out of Whistler jumps and flights are taken in Pemberton B.C just 25 minutes north of Whistler due to the convenience of the Pemberton Airport.
For those who have never skydived before a tandem jump will be your introduction to the sport. A tandem jump requires you to wear a harness that is directly attached to a certified instructor on your back.
After a 25 minute flight to the proper altitude of 10,500 feet you and your instructor will make the jump pulling your shoot at 5000 feet or around 45 seconds of freefall. The tandem jump experience costs $279 and only requires you to show up and jump.
For licensed jumpers looking to jump in one of the most scenic drop zones in the world you can hop on board a plane for only $35.
Reservations are not required but are strongly recommended. You can drop in at their offices at the Pemberton Airport however without an appointment you may have to wait several hours before they can fit you in.
After making your reservations you are asked to show up about an hour and half before your time for a brief run through and equipment check. The goal for the boys is to get you in and out of their in about two to three hours from arrival to departure.
