Whistler play's host to the top Luge athletes in the world this weekend when they compete in the 44th Luge World Championships. 150 of the best Luger's in the world representing 25 countries will make the Whistler Sliding Centre their home as they try and claim the biggest event of the year.

Whistler will host some of the best free skiers in the world this week as part of the North Face Park and Pipe Open. The 4 day event features a number of events including slopestyle, halfpipe, big air, and rail jam skiing contests.

The Never Ever days are back for this weekend. People that have never skied or snowboarded can get a lesson, ski or snowboard rentals and lift ticket for only $25 this weekend.

Thanks to a recent cold snap all of whistler's lakes have frozen which has made for some great ice skating. Or stop by the Whistler Olympic Plaza and take some laps on the outdoor village ice rink.
