It has just been announced that the Resort Municipality of Whistler will be investing $135,000 to augment the World Ski and Snowboard Festival concert lineup. This is huge news for the festival as it frees up WSSF organizers to book bigger and better bands.

Whistler Blackcomb has just announced that it will be opening two brand new lifts next season. A new six passenger lift will replace the Harmony Express and a new quad high speed lift will be installed in the new Crystal Zone. To celebrate the brand new Crystal Lift Whistler Blackcomb is holding a "Name That Lift Contest".
