Big WSSF Concert News

It has just been announced that the Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) will be investing $135,000 to augment the World Ski and Snowboard Festival (WSSF) concert lineup. This is huge news for the festival as it frees up WSSF organizers to book bigger and better bands.

The 2013 WSSF is set to take place April 12 – 21 and features 10 days of amazing ski and snowboard contests, FREE concerts, fashions shows, parties, art shows, FREE give-aways and much more.

The WSSF Outdoor Concert Series is always one of the biggest draws of the weekend. Throughout the 10 day event FREE concerts will be held daily from 2:30PM – 5:30PM at the Main Stage located at Skier’s Plaza at the base of Whistler Mountain. Past acts to perform at the WSSF include: Jurassic 5, Metric, Finger Eleven, Dilated Peoples, Big Sugar, Ziggy Marley and many more.

Thanks to the recent grant from the RMOW we can expect the WSSF to once again bring in some big name musical acts. Make sure to check back in early March when the WSSF releases the 2013 concert lineup.
