Crud 2 Mud

 Crud 2 Mud Banner

Crud 2 MudTake part in one of the coolest experiences you can have on the mountain during the Crud 2 Mud event this Sunday, May 26. The Crud 2 Mud involves skiing or snowboarding from the top of Whistler Mountain to a transition station where you hop on a mountain bike and cruise down the rest of the mountain. The Crud 2 Mud celebrates Whistler Blackcomb's annual "transition season" when visitors can ski or snowboard and mountain bike in the same day.

Those wishing to compete in this year's competition can do so on their own or in teams. There will be categories ranging from 13+ to 40+ and everywhere in between.

This year's course will start at the RHL on Whistler Mountain then wind its way down Whiskey jack to Orange Peel, onto Pony Trail to Highway 86 to Expressway. This will conclude the snow portion of the track at which time competitors will ditch their skis or snowboards and hop on their mountain bikes. The bike track begins on Expressway up mt. road to lower bit of Super Fantastic to B-Line to Ho Chi Min to Heart of Darkness taking a left hand turn at the exit of Joyride/Detroit Rock City and across the Mt road and the flats into Monkey Hands, finishing in the bottom of the boneyard.

Entrance into the competition is $55 for individuals or $80 for teams of two. Whistler Mountain Bike Park tickets are not included in the registration cost but can be purchased for a reduced rate of $31 (adults) or $28 (youth/senior).

The event takes place on Sunday, May 26 but registration closes on Saturday, May 25 at 2PM. So if you want to take part in this year's event get on it. For more information on this event including registration details visit the Crud 2 Mud website.
