Whistler Farmer's Market
Opening on June 16th -- only two days now! -- the Whistler Farmers Market is back for yet another season, and we couldn’t be more excited.
The Whistler Farmers Market started back in 1993 with just a handful of vendors. It is now one of Whistler's most popular events for both locals and visitors. The market offers an amazing array of fresh local produce, artisan foods, home baked goods, fresh bread and live cooking demos by local chefs to name a few.
More Than Just Awesome Produce
Aside from the food, the Farmers Market is a great place to find local artisan products including jewellery, textiles, pottery, woodworks, bath and body products, and art work. The average turn out at the Sunday market is 2000 people. The Whistler Farmers Market, set at the base of Blackcomb Mountain is an event not to be missed!
For the Whole Family
The Whistler Farmers Market is a great place to take the whole family -- it's not all about the shopping. You can find face painting, live music and entertainment, and of course the Blackcomb Adventure Zone --- a kid's paradise. There is a luge track, climbing wall, bungy trampoline, mini golf, horse rides, and many more fun activities.
The market is open from 11:00am to 4:00pm every Sunday. The first Market is on Sunday -- June 16th and runs all through the summer until Sunday, October 13th. It is located in the Upper Village at the base of Blackcomb Mountain.
The Whistler Farmers Market has become so popular that this year there is also a Wednesday market from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. The market will is slightly smaller than the Sunday market, but still features a gread deal of vendors with the focus on food. This is a great way to top up the weekly shop and buy some fresh bread and local produce.
