A Day at the Whistler Tube Park
One of the funnest things you can do during the winter months in Whistler is visit the Coca-Cola Tube Park. All you need is your snow suit and boots to partake in this fun activity, which is a great way to spend some time with the whole family.
Upon your arrival at the Tube Park you will be provided with a inflatable tube and sent up the hill where you can choose from an assortment of different runs. Usually there are three operational tracks which include a kids track, intermediate and advanced.
One of the coolest options of the park is the ability to link up tubes with up to four other people, allowing you to slide down the run with friends and family. A conveyer belt takes you from the bottom of the tracks to the top so have no fear you can comfortably take runs for hours.
As of right now the Tube Park is open 7 days a week, 12PM to 7PM Monday to Friday and 11AM to 7PM Saturday and Sunday.
There are two ways to access the tube park you can either drive up to Base 2 or take a chairlift. For those looking to drive you want to take Blackcomb Way which is located just past the Blackcomb Day Lodge. The Tube Park is about a 5 minute drive from the base of the mountain and is clearly marked with signs along the way. At the end you want to be in Lot 8 which offers FREE parking for the park. If your staying in the village an prefer to take the chairlift up you can access the park for FREE by taking the Excalibur Gondola located at the base of Blackcomb Mountain. The lift will drop you off about a 2-3 walk away from the park.
