5 Edgy Outdoor Whistler Valentine's Ideas
Valentine's Day can be the height of kitsch. Hallmark Valentine's cards, cheesy flower bouquets and to top it off, the colour combo of red and pink. But for all that, you can do it right. We can help.
Get the Adrenaline Pumping
We are certain that there are things you can think to do in Whistler for Valentine's Day that we don't need to mention.
Skiing, for example. That's an obvious one. Or snowboarding. And then the requisite lunch on the hill. Don't forget to hold hands on the chairlift.
However, we thought we'd try to take it just one step further, and really try to jump start that V-Day for you.
Whistler is full of outdoor things to do, some of them mundane, but many of them surprising and a little bit thrilling, even. Let's see if we can make your heart pound with some of these ideas:
Take the Twilight zipline tour and experience the newly enhanced tour with 6 ziplines and 11 treetop bridges. You can combine the Twilight tour with a Peak to Peak Sightseeing ticket to experience the ultimate day and night of outdoor Valentine's fun.
The ultimate adrenaline rush, Whistler bungee jump is the only operator worldwide to jump in the snow. With a 17 year-long blemish-free safety record, you can rest assured that though this is easily going to be the thrill of your life, you're in safe hands. What a way to get the ol' heart pumping!
This 2.5 hour trip takes you up to 6000 ft. As this Valentine's Day is also a full moon, you will have a great ride through the snow under gorgeous moonlight. Sure to be an epic Valentine's Day if you go this route.
This one takes place in the daytime, but you still have a 2.5 to 3 hour tour, winding through the Callaghan valley. A dog sled ride is slightly less exhilarating than perhaps bungee jumping, but you're still going to have the wind rushing through your hair and end up with some great stories to tell about this Valentine's Day...
5. Snowcat Tour
Take a tour of Whistler Mountain in a 19-passenger snowcat, followed by a fondue dinner. With surround sound speakers, panoramic views, and a tour guide/driver giving you a narrative of the history of the mountain, this is not your typical Valentine's dinner. Enjoy!
We hope we've inspired you to do something different this Valentine's Day! Take a chance and have some fun this weekend. And we hope to see you here at the end of your day. If we can help in any way, please give us a call. We're here to help!
