Vancouver Symphony Orchestra Concert Series

VSO Concert

The Vancouver Symphony of Orchestra returns to Whistler this weekend to play five shows over two days. All five shows are FREE to watch and include two shows from the complete orchestra and three private shows from the string quartet.

Leading the orchestra is the multi-talented conductor Teddy Abrams. Abrams has conducted for several high profile symphony organizations in the past including the including Louisville, Budapest, Florida & Detroit symphony.

For those in the in the know the VSO will be playing pieces from the following composers: Bizet - Carmen Suite, Stravinsky - Firebird Suite, Verdi - La Forza del Destino, Grieg - Piano Concerto in A minor*

The VSO kicks things off on Friday afternoon with two private shows from the string quartet. Catch the string quartet live in the Village at 11AM and 1:30PM. Later on that night the entire orchestra will hit the Whistler Olympic Plaza stage for a show at 8:45PM.

On Saturday you can once again catch a private show from the string quartet in the Village at 1:30PM. Then at 8:45PM head on over to Olympic Plaza for a show from the entire orchestra.
