Wanderlust Whistler Recap
This past weekend over 5000 athletes glazed Whistler with their endorphins during the third annual Whistler Wanderlust. From July 31st until August 4th musical performances, yoga workshops and outdoor adventures were held all around Whistler. The festival also hosted the Kula Market that showcased beautiful clothing, jewelry and decorations from both local and international vendors.
Whistler is one of the few lucky spots where this festival is held and it brings in people from all over the world, including world-renowned instructors and speakers. With a jam-packed schedule, offering many unique experiences, participants spent the 5 days learning, growing and connecting. Regular Whistler venues were transformed into yoga sanctuaries and even exhibited unique names such as The Mothership, The Greatest Place, The Shala and The Haven.
A festival of this magnitude attracts awesome partnerships with select companies, who have similar core values, such as lululemon athletica and Kashi. Throughout the village Kashi was handing out bars and bowls filled with their product, which kept everyone fueled.
Some of the activities you were able to choose from were:
- Standup Paddleboarding
- Slackline & Hoop
- Farm to Table Dinner
- Wanderlust Tastings (wine and beer)
- Free Music in Olympic Plaza
- Yoga Teacher Training
- Yoga, yoga and more yoga (every type imaginable)
The festival encouraged attendees to share their photgraphed moments by using #Wanderlust, #WLWhistler and #FindYourTrueNorth. Social media, especially Instagram, acts as a prestigious gallery displaying all of the captured beauty.
