5 Cheap Eats in Whistler

Last night picking up all those rounds of shooters seemed like a good idea… Now in the bright light of afternoon you're down to your last $10 and your starving. If you're stomach rebels at the idea of being filled with convenience store hot dogs where do you go? Here's a few ideas:

Pasta Lupino

Location: Main Street

Ticked in under the stairwell near the 7-11 Pasta Lupino is the best deal for real Italian

Whistler, especially if you eat before 5:00. This mom and pop shop makes all its own pasta and sauces. Their Chicken Parmigiana is a local legendary value, even at its slightly higher dinner price. Map

Opa Souvlaki

Location: Marketplace

This sit-down fast food joint offers industrial size Greek food for the grab and go crowd.

The crowd pleasers are the souvlaki platters that come with enough carbs to put you into the "nap zone" mere minutes after finishing your meal. This is food for growing boys and girls. Map

Location: Main Street

Fresh and fabulous Mexican fare at a price that's more than fair, DUPS has all the usual north of the border favourites:  burritos, enchiladas, chimichangas and taco salads as big your head! Vegetarian options abound at DUPs and they also serve a yummy $3 churro for dessert. Map

Location: Village Square

Gone Eatery

Gone's hearty soups and stews are complete meals in a bowl and one of the healthiest r

e-fuelling options around. This longstanding Whistler institution offers a wide variety of fresh baked goods and tasty sandwiches as well. Map

Location: Nester's & Creekside

Samurai Sushi

Samurai Sushi's two locations offer great food at incredible prices. In addition to sushi and

sashimi, this casual eatery offers a variety of bento boxes under $10. They also serve custom kid size meals available in both omnivore and vegetarian versions. Extreme value. Map
