Whistler Presents Concert Series for Thanksgiving Weekend

Whistler PresentsThe Whistler Presents Concert Series will be hosting yet another great weekend of entertainment. Head to the Whistler Olympic Plaza on Saturday October 8th and Sunday October 9th to see some amazing performances.

Well known children's entertainers Bobs and Lolo will be performing at 11am on both the Saturday and Sunday.  Bobs & LoLo are dedicated to connecting kids to the natural world with music, movement and make-believe.  This is a ticketed event and it is recommended to purchase tickets in advance online.  Tickets are $10 for children 2 years and over and adults are free.  This is fun and high energy performance is suitable for children aged 2 years to 10 years.

After lunch and some shopping at the legendary Turkey Sale, make your way back to the Whistler Olympic Plaza for 2 more performances - this time for the adults! Animal Nation will be hitting the stage at 3pm! Animal Nation are home-grown in Whistler and are a Hip hop, Indie, Alternative band.  Following Animal Nation will be Wassabi Collective at 4.15pm.  Wassabi Collective are a spicy five-piece from the town of Nelson, B.C. The band's sound fuses everything from pop, rock, hip hop, roots reggae, funk, jazz and everything in between.  Both performances are free!

After enjoying a relaxing Sunday morning, bring the kids back to the Whistler Olympic Plaza for the next show at 11am by Bobs and Lolo.  Bobs and Lolo will be sharing musical stories that engage, inspire and educate.  Their show teaches kids to care about themselves, their neighbours and the planet.  Tickets are $10 for children 2 years and over and adults are free.  Tickets are available to purchase online.

Enjoy lunch at one of Whistler great restaurant; check out all the sales around the Village then head back to the Whistler Olympic Plaza for two more free performances. The Hellbound Hepcats will be on the stage at 3 PM. They are a Montreal-based trio known for their hip-shaking rhythm. Following the Hellbound Hepcats will be Whistler's own Five Alarm Funk at 4.15pm.  These 10 musicians are a must-see. They perform intricate and airtight arrangements with delirious dance moves.

The Whistler Olympic Plaza is an outdoor, covered venue so please dress warmly for all the events over the Thanksgiving Weekend.
