Whistler Blackcomb Kids Activities

Kids Skiing in Whistler

Whistler Blackcomb has recently completed two new kid friendly areas ready to be open this January.

The Whistler Kid's Centre

The Whistler Kid's Centre is for children ages three and four and is designed as area for kids who are homesick or not feeling well to hangout. Not everyone wants to head up the hill so for kids who want to hang back the Kid's Centre offers a place for kids to hang or lay down. The facility is furnished with kids sized furniture and offers a number of activities to pass the time.

Riglet Snowboard Park

Whistler Blackcomb has also partnered with Burton Snowboards to a build the kid’s only park - Riglet Park on Whistler Mountain. The idea behind the park is to give kids a fun introduction to the foundations of snowboarding through terrain based learning and guided instruction. Certified instructors will guide kids through a series of interactive stations where kids can learn the basics like balance, movement and safe control. Think of it as Terrain Park for kids. Burton Snowboards are excited to partner with Whistler Blackcomb for this new endeavour and hope to promote the sport of snowboarding at the youngest levels.

Burton and Whistler Blackcomb will also host pop-up Riglet Parks in Whistler Village throughout the winter season. The next events are on January 18, 2015 and March 20, 2015 from 1 pm to 4 pm in Mountain Square (outside of Showcase Snowboard Shop).
