Pemberton Music Festival — What You Need to Know
It's Time to Think About Summer
I know, I know. We're barely out of the World Ski and Snowboard Festival woods. And we've got the Go Festival coming up after that. It's a hard life, but you must focus. Summer will be here sooner than you realize, and if you don't plan a bit, your summer could be one which does not include the Pemberton Music Festival.
That's right. No Portugal. The Man, no Kendrick Lamar, no Chvrch, no Hozier. No five tents of music and comedy, four days and nights of non-stop festival fun and games.
Tickets went on sale on April 3rd, and many of the early bird options are long gone. There are many different ticket packages available, including payment options, so check out their website to see what is going to work for you. But don't wait too long. If you find out that the entire festival is sold out and we warned you this far in advance, well, we'll forgive you, but it will be difficult.
Camping — or — Stay at Aava
Most of the festival goers will stay on site on the festival grounds in camping grounds, but there will be shuttle service from Whistler available. So yes, it is entirely possible (and we encourage it!) to stay in a civilized hotel such as the Aava Whistler and still enjoy the entire festival experience. Well, the entire festival experience save for sleeping outdoors in near proximity to 300 or so loud new festival friends. Instead, you'd stay in a comfortable modern hotel room, and catch a shuttle each morning to the festival, returning in an equally civilized way each evening. Your choice, of course.
The word on the street is that tickets are selling fast. Faster than last year, and we fully expect the festival to sell out soon. We don't want anyone to be disappointed so we encourage you to take just a few moments from your spring partying and fun to think about your summer party schedule.
The lineup this year is outstanding, as we mentioned, with nearly 100 performers, both musical and comedy ready to rock for four days and nights. With headliners including Kendrick Lamar, The Black Keys, J. Cole, Tiesto, Hozier, Kid Cudi, Missy Elliott, Weezer, and Jane's Addiction, we're pretty sure that you're going to love this summer.
See you in Pemberton!
