Whistler Ski Season Is Almost Here!
It’s fall in Whistler, the leaves are changing colour, the nights getting longer, the snow line is creeping down and winter is coming! Another sign of the changing seasons is the weather: until the temperature drops below freezing and the snow reaches the village, the climate trends toward the wetter side of things, even if the peak has 73 cm already!
While the wet weather may make you want to stay at home, throw some logs on the fire and binge watch your favourite tv series. It would be a shame to miss out on all of the activities at going on while we wait for the mountains to open. There are a bunch of fun things to do in any weather conditions including ATV and side-by-side adventures, Scandinave Spa, Whistler Bounce Acrobatic Academy, Whistler Public Library, exploring the forest, and mushroom spotting! So many things to do and so little time before ski season!
This time of year can be torture for anybody waiting for the mountain to open — the shorter days, the colder temperatures, the 73 cm on the peak! The official opening day on Whistler Blackcomb is scheduled for November 24 but with these good conditions it bound to pen up earlier!
