The DC Hit & Run Tour's Last Stop is Whistler!

DC Hit n Run 1

Whistler Blackcomb is once again hosting the third and final stop of DC’s global ‘Hit & Run’ snowboard event on April 1st & 2nd, 2017. This unique event combines slopestyle hits and banked slalom turns to create a track to test a snowboarder’s all-around riding skills.

The course includes technical speed jumps, banked turns, a large freestyle jump, two rail sections, and a hip into the halfpipe. Riders will be judged on the freestyle jump, one of the rail sections, and the hip, while also being ranked on their overall time. Needless to say, this event is geared towards advanced park riders.

“We are very excited to host the final stop of the DC Hit & Run Tour once again… We take pride in making our course the gnarliest on the tour, and this year’s build will be even better. Riders can expect a more technical rail section, tighter banks and a few new elements.” –Brian Finestone, terrain parks manager at Whistler Blackcomb.

  • Men’s Youth (15 and under).

Cash prizes will be awarded to the 1st ($1500), 2nd ($1000) and 3rd ($500) fastest times for the Men’s Pro category and the fastest time ($1000) for the Women’s Pro category. Also, the winner of the Best Trick Award will receive $500!

“Following stops at Mammoth Mountain in California and Meribel in France, we’re excited to bring the tour back to Canada at Whistler Blackcomb… The park staff did an awesome job creating an amazing course last season and we can’t wait to see what they have in store this year. This will be one of the most unique events of the year.” –Bobby Meeks, global marketing director at DC Snowboarding.
