5 Things To Do In Whistler This June 2017

June in Whistler is full of all sorts of amazing events and activities starting up for the summer months. Get outdoors and get active this month as the weather warms up in Whistler. Here’s just a couple of the things you can do here in Whistler this June.

Peak 2 Peak Gondola

Peak 2 Peak Experience

The visually stunning Whistler Blackcomb PEAK 2 PEAK Experience opened its doors for guests on Saturday, May 27th, 2017. Experience the magnificent views of Whistler as you’re high above the trees in a gondola. Once you’re at the top you can enjoy sightseeing, hiking, and alpine dining at the Roundhouse Lodge.

Whistler Blackcomb is always working on and upgrading hiking trails, viewpoints, and activities on top of the mountain. Guests of the Peak 2 Peak Experience can see tons of improvements this year including, a new Roundhouse Lodge terrace and viewpoint, Ollie’s Grilled Cheese Shack, a Winemaker’s Dinner Series at Steeps Grill, and construction of the Peak Suspension Bridge and the West Ridge Viewpoint.

ThinkBike Whistler - Bike Jump

Try out new mountain bikes at ThinkBike Whistler this June 1st to 4th. Formerly called OuterBike, the new ThinkBike Whistler is intended to bring together the riders and the industry’s leading mountain bike companies. Test out the best mountain bikes on the market on some of the best trails in the world. 

ThinkBike Whistler is a 4 day celebration of bikes, dirt, steep inclines, and the mountains. Get ready for a whole weekend full of incredible activities to participate in. From inspirational talks, tours, and kids programs to trail building and clinics. There’s something for every skill set to love.

Whistler Half Marathon

The Whistler Half Marathon returns this Saturday, June 3rd, 2017. Participants get to experience the village of Whistler as they navigate the 21.1km course all around town. The Whistler Half Marathon has become a favourite among long distance runners for it’s picturesque views along the way. Walk or run, come out and enjoy Whistler on foot. Walkers will start at 7am and runners will begin at 7:50am at the Whistler Olympic Plaza.

Farmers Market - baked goods

Whistler Farmers’ Market

Open for the summer, Whistler Farmers' Market takes place every Wednesday until October. Starting July, the market will also be open on Sunday. The Whistler Farmers’ Market features local produce, crafts, and goodies from vendors throughout the Sea to Sky corridor. 

You can expect to see lots of refreshing beverages, tasty artisan food, and live entertainment at this open air market. Bring the whole family to the Upper Village Stroll, at the Base of Blackcomb Mountain to visit the Farmers’ Market.

Tough Mudder 2016- Wall

Canada's Toughest Mudder

New to Whistler this year is Canada’s Toughest Mudder on June 17, 2017. Tough Mudder has been in Whistler for a few years now and it’s getting even harder with an 8 hour overnight challenge. This is the only Toughest Mudder event happening in all of Canada. 

This mud-caked obstacle course starts at midnight and runs until 8am! Think you’ve already beat Tough Mudder? Now is your chance to prove you’re the endurance course master.
